Chart

Histograms, Line Charts or Pie Charts can be created based on the data in any column of a Dips file, using the Chart option.

Creating a Chart is very similar to creating a Symbolic Plot – see the Symbolic Plot option for more information.

Set Filter

By default ALL rows in a file are used to create a Chart. If Sets have been created with the Add Set Window option, the Set Filter option in the Chart dialog allows you to create a Chart based ONLY on the data in a given Set.

Creating a Chart from a Symbolic Plot

A Chart can be created directly from a Symbolic Plot, by simply right-clicking on the Symbolic Plot and selecting Symbolic > Create Corresponding Chart from the right-click menu. A new Chart view will be automatically generated, using the same data and settings selected for the Symbolic Plot.
