Dips > Planes and Intersections > Planes
The Show Planes option allows you to show or hide ALL planes / poles made VISIBLE with the Visibility settings in the Edit Planes and Edit Sets dialogs.
Show Planes is available in the toolbar or the Select menu.
NOTE!!!
Using Show Planes DOES NOT change the Visibility settings in the Edit Planes and Edit Sets dialogs (i.e. hidden poles / planes will remain invisible).
Show Planes applies to both ADDED PLANES (ADD PLANE OPTION) AND MEAN PLANES (FROM SETS)
Show Planes operates on a PER VIEW basis.
Show Planes is automatically toggled on whenever planes (Add Plane) or Sets (Add Set Window) are added, even if Show Planes was previously toggled off on a given view.
Planes on a Rosette Plot
On a Rosette Plot, planes are displayed as lines rather than arcs (i.e. only the Apparent Strike of planes can be displayed on a Rosette Plot). Furthermore, only ADDED planes within the Angular Limits will be plotted. MEAN planes are NOT shown on Rosette Plots.
