Dam Removal Stage 1 Marmot Dam on the Sandy River, OR. The dam was removed as part of the Settlement Agreement to decommission the Bull Run Hydroelectric Project (FERC P-447) and restore the Sandy River. During the summer of 2007 a coffer dam was constructed a flow was diverted around the dam. Dam removal began on July 25, 2007 and continued through the summer. Figure provided by Portland General Electric.
